Looking back on this semester, I honestly learned a lot more from IS101 than I expected to. At first I thought it was just going to be a basic computer class, but it ended up teaching me a lot about problem solving, paying attention to details, organization, and being patient when things get frustrating. Some assignments definitely took me longer than expected and there were times where I felt overwhelmed, especially with Excel and some of the formatting projects, but I can tell I improved a lot compared to the beginning of the semester. One thing I appreciated about this course was that most of the assignments felt realistic instead of just random busy work. Learning Excel, mail merge, PowerPoint, online safety, and other computer skills are things I can actually use later in jobs, school, and everyday life.
